Call for Nominations and Elections: AESOP Young Academics Network Coordination Team Members 2024-2026

Dear Young Academics,

Are you passionate about shaping the future of planning academia? Do you have innovative ideas and a drive to foster collaboration among emerging scholars? The AESOP Young Academics Network invites you to step up and make a difference by joining our Coordination Team for the 2024-2026 term. Please take a moment to review my two-year experience serving on the Coordination Team on our YA Blog, which I hope will inspire and inform your decision.

As a member of the Coordination Team, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Drive initiatives to support young planning scholars worldwide.
  • Collaborate with fellow academics to organize Conferences, workshops, seminars, and networking events.
  • Contribute to the development of the AESOP Young Academics Network's strategic direction.
  • Connect with renowned professionals in the field and broaden your academic network.
  • Raise the voices and aspirations of young planners within the broader AESOP community. 

We are seeking four (4) dedicated individuals with a vision for the future of planning education and research to join our 2023-2025 CT members SaeBom, Rumeysa and Sophie (as well as myself, Ceren as senior advisor). Nominate yourself by simply filling out this Google Form.

The timeline for the election process is as follows: 

  • Enrolment of candidates: 10 April 2024 - 21 April 2024 23:59 CET (via the Google Form linked above)
  • Elections: 22 April 2024 - 5 May 2024 23:59 CET (will take place digitally via the Members area of our website)
  • Announcement of results: 15 May 2024 
  • Start of your term: in the monthly online CT meeting, early June 2024
