📢 The Association of European Schools of Planning Young Academics (AESOP YA) Network is thrilled to announce the extended Call for Proposals to host the 21st AESOP YA Conference, scheduled for March 2027.
 

This is your opportunity to bring an exciting and impactful international event to your institution and contribute to a long-standing tradition of fostering collaboration, knowledge exchange, and academic growth across the planning community.

Financial Support

The AESOP YA Coordination Team supports the conference budget of the host institution with up to €8,000, provisionally allocated as follows:

  • €4,000 for organizational costs

  • €4,000 for participant bursaries to enhance accessibility and inclusion

Proposals are warmly welcomed from Young Academics affiliated with AESOP member schools. Hosting the conference is a valuable opportunity to contribute to AESOP’s mission of promoting geographical inclusion and diversity.

Early submissions are strongly encouraged. The Coordination Team is happy to provide guidance and discuss your ideas throughout the preparation process.


What to Include in Your Proposal

Your proposal should demonstrate your institution’s capacity to organize an engaging, inclusive, and high-quality conference. Please include:

  • Institutional capacity and resources, including:

    • A preliminary budget plan

    • Two back-up budget scenarios

    • Financial commitment from the hosting institution

  • Accessibility strategies to attract international participants and enhance visibility (affordability, travel accessibility, outreach efforts)

  • Creative ideas for themes, formats, and activities aligned with the spirit of AESOP YA
