The Department of Urban Studies and Planning at The University of Sheffield welcomes applications from outstanding post-doctoral researchers to the 2024 round of the Leverhulme Trust Early Career Fellowship Scheme.
The Department of Urban Studies and Planning at Sheffield is a world-leading centre for research and education in planning and a range of urban-focussed disciplines. We have particular research strengths in the following areas:
- Environment, infrastructure and sustainability
- Urban inequalities and social justice
- Housing and real estate
- Planning, people and place
In addition, we play a leading role in a range of research centres, including Sheffield Urban Institute, Institute for Global Sustainable Development (IGSD) and the UK Collaborative Centre for Housing Evidence (CaCHE).
We welcome Expressions of Interest from outstanding early career researchers, who meet the eligibility criteria of the Leverhulme Trust Early Career Fellowship Scheme, and whose research interests align with the above themes. Specifically, we seek candidates with an excellent academic record; a strong publications profile; and innovative and ambitious research ideas.
