Host the 20th AESOP Young Academics Conference in March 2026!

The Association of European Schools of Planning Young Academics (AESOP YA) Network is thrilled to announce the Call for Proposals to host the 20th AESOP YA Conference, set to take place in March 2026. This is your chance to bring an exciting and impactful event to your institution and join a tradition of fostering international collaboration, knowledge exchange, and academic growth.

Financial Support

AESOP YA Coordination Team supports the conference budget of the host institution by up to €8,000, divided as follows:

  • €4,000 for organizational costs.
  • €4,000 for participant bursaries to enhance accessibility and inclusion.

Who Can Apply?

We warmly welcome proposals from Young Academics (YAs) affiliated with AESOP member schools. This is your chance to bring the YA conference to your city and contribute to AESOP’s mission of promoting geographical inclusion and diversity.

What to Include in Your Proposal

Proposals should showcase your institution’s ability to organize an engaging, inclusive, and high-quality conference. Highlight aspects such as:

  • Institutional capacity and resources. (a preliminary budget plan and 2 back-up budget plans with financial commitment from the hosting institution),
  • Accessibility strategies to attract international participants and enhance the conference’s visibility, including efforts to ensure affordability, ease of travel, and effective outreach.
  • Creative ideas for themes, formats, and activities that reflect the spirit of AESOP YA.
