Quality Recognition (QR) is a programme for continual quality support based on voluntary grounds and peer support for the improvement of teaching and pedagogy. As noted in the 2024 AESOP Core Curriculum, it is designed to foster mutual learning, with respectful and responsible knowledge transfer and emulation of didactical practices. The QR programme aims to safeguard the quality of planning education and enable continual quality support to AESOP member schools under constantly changing demands. 
 
Main benefits for applicants:

• Opportunities to engage in critical dialogue with the Excellence in Education Board concerning the programme's curriculum identity, topics, pedagogies, etc;
• Champion best practices of teaching and pedagogy;
• Foster an ethic of quality enhancement amongst the programme's staff.

Please note that this year's QR application form has been revised by the Excellence in Education Board to accommodate better issues of socio-spatial (in)justice, temporal considerations, and the use of Artificial Intelligence in planning education.

The call for QR applications 2024-25 is open until 20 January 2025!
