Short Biography
Dr Malachy Buck is a Lecturer in Spatial Planning and Development at Ulster University. Before his lectureship, Malachy was a Graduate Teaching Assistant at the University of Liverpool (2018-2024). During this time he completed his PhD in Spatial Planning, which examined the integration of environmental objectives through Plan-making and development processes of the British Planning system. His research interests focus on the interactions between individuals and the natural and built environment, exploring how different forms of Planning can mediate these interactions.
